One urban Constituency Council will be hosting activities to further develop their community while recognising and celebrating its community members.
During a press conference yesterday, Projects & Programmes Chairman of St. Michael North West Constituency Council, Hadyn Stuart announced an upcoming fundraising Fish Fry and Award Ceremony scheduled for December 1. He said it would be held at the Deacons Development Facility with an admission fee of $25. Stuart added that the event will also be honouring at least ten people who have made an indelible contribution to the community over the years. The aim of the event is to raise funds for the completion of a radio station at Deacons Development Facility.
During the Christmas season, community groups and school choirs will be invited to sing during a community programme for constituents. He added that there will be a Santa Claus for the children who will be given gifts and asked to participate in the entertainment. The Chairman noted that this will be done during a period of two to three weeks within the month of December.
