NO decision has been taken on the next course of action by Dr. Maria Agard, the sitting Christ Church West MP, with regard to the court case on her expulsion from the Barbados Labour Party.
This is according Attorney-at-law, Hal Gollop QC, who represented Dr. Agard in the case.
He was reacting to a query yesterday from The Barbados Advocate about likelihood of a response to the High Court decision to dismiss the case brought by Dr. Agard.
She was expelled from the BLP in late November 2015 and the high court made its decision towards the end of last month.
“We have not yet decided what course of action will be taken as a decision on that will depend on other considerations,” Gollop said. He also said there is to be a further meeting on that.
However, Gollop added that he did hear someone suggesting that that Dr. Agard still has an interest in pursuing the matter.
Dr. Agard, who had replaced Dr. William Duguid as the BLP candidate for the constituency, was elected to the House of Assembly during the February 21 General elections.
Nothing has been forthcoming from her on whether she will be a candidate for Christ Church West in the forthcoming general elections.
