With the Crop Over season fast approaching, a new premium level band has officially been launched, with its promoters promising a stellar experience for patrons like never
before.

International premium carnival section owner Vïda Barbados and Bliss party event producer Esquire Entertainment, announced their 2020 Crop Over band (Vida by Esquire) during a brief media presentation at the Barbados Hilton recently.

Esquire Entertainment, better known for its work with the yearly Bliss events that has grown in popularity with locals over the years, felt that with partnering with Vida Barbados, they could deliver a premium band event for locals that would be in keeping with their brand. This is according to Co-Director of Esquire Entertainment, Corin Bailey, who was excited about this year’s launch.

“We felt that Vida’s record of high-quality service delivery through their carnival section ownership across the Caribbean was in keeping with our own record of high quality ultra-inclusive event executions,” he said.

Co-founder and Owner of Vida Barbados, Ryan Forde, revealed that patrons should expect a high level of service and euphoria from the new band this year.

“We realised that instead of focusing on the most premium beverage or performances, we wanted to add value to the level of the service the customer was receiving from start to finish. We felt that our two brands were speaking the same language from a fete perspective and an ‘on the road experience’, and that it was only fitting that we enhanced this experience together through to the final day of Crop Over on Grand Kadooment Day,” Forde explained.

Co-founder and Head Designer of Vida Barbados, Janelle “Jin” Forde, admitted that the current situation with the COVID-19 outbreak affecting events all over the world is indeed a cause for concern, but that the team is prepared with back-up plans.

“The virus is widespread and at this time we do not know the impact it will have, but as a business we are self-sufficient so we can produce large numbers surpassing 600 regionally and locally. Nevertheless, like any other business, we have more than one back-up plan in place,” she revealed.

The official launch of the band will be on April 5 at Bird Box in St. John, with a slated 1 pm start.
