Traffic came to a grinding halt for hundreds of motorists traversing along Christ Church roads during peak hours, yesterday. This was due to roadworks at the junction of Fordes Road and the top of Rendezvous Hill carried out by C.O. Williams Construction Limited, in conjunction with the Ministry of Transport, Works and Water Resources. While it was advertised that the road would not be closed, this was not the case. Motorists were greeted with road closure signage at the top of Rendezvous Hill, and had to seek alternate routes which added to the congestion.
